Staying Healthy During the Rock n Roll Marathon

How To Stay Healthy This Summer

With the temperatures outside getting hotter and hotter, you need to make sure you stay healthy so you don’t end up with heat exhaustion, sunburn, or dehydration. Summer is a great time to relax and spend time outside, but it is also easy to get sick if you are not careful.

Don’t Skip The Sunscreen

When the heat is sizzling, don’t leave the house without liberally applying sunscreen. Sunscreen helps prevent skin cancer and it will also help to prevent wrinkles and premature aging. Use a high SPF sunscreen and reapply it every two hours.

Stay Hydrated

If you are going to be spending time out in the sun, it is important that you keep drinking water to replenish the water that your body is losing through sweating. Aim to drink one glass of water every half hour. When you are properly hydrated you have more energy and you can handle the heat better.

Don’t Skip Breakfast

While you might think it is too hot to eat, you need to have a light breakfast if you are going to be spending time in the sun. Focus on high-protein foods like eggs and have a serving of fruit and whole grains along with it. And if you are eating sugary products remember to look after your teeth.  See the Healthy Teeth Guide at NHS Belfast Dentist.  If you don’t eat, you are likely to feel tired and you won’t have the energy you need to get through the day.

Watch What You Wear

If you are going to be spending time in the sun, you will want to wear light colored clothes that fit loosely, check the FashionNI summer range. Wearing a hat with a wide brim will help keep the sun away from your face. You can also keep a spray bottle of water nearby and spray yourself to stay cool.

Keep yourself healthy this summer by protecting yourself from the heat.

Liverpool – City of Angels

Liverpool is a fantastic city, with excellent transport links, a buzzing nighlife scene, with lots of bars, clubs, restaurants and discos, and a really friendly atmosphere exists with visitors to the city, and the local residents.

For good food, good beer, good times and of course good football, you should do your best to catch one of the Merseyside derby games between English soccer’s two fiercest rivals, neighbouring clubs Liverpool FC and their nemesis, Everton FC.

We love Liverpool, and look forward to sharing more of the secrets that the city has to offer right here.
